Have no choice but to go to work. If the snow removal operators have a break down someone has to get them going. I know it frustrates some drivers when they see the sheriff and HP let me go but with the money paid it is worth it.

If I was going to get fired I would go to work, if I can get away with one absence I'm definitely going to use a weather emergency to do it. Remember that some people, policemen, firefighters, power company workers, EMT's, Military, ect-don't have a choice. They must go.

When I lived in Pennsylvania I had to drive in bad snow and ice, to get to work, all the time so I guess I would do it again if I had to. (I now live in southern Alabama)

depends on the severity, and your experience as a driver. I have done it, and drove 15 there and back. But I lived and didnt go in the ditch.
