Do most American's want to prevent war with Iran?

Is the all volunteer military enough? Would you let your son/daughter join the military at 17 years old? Are you for sending more troops to Iraq? Should we make two consecutive warless generations a national goal?

Most Americans don't want to be the ones doing the actual fighting, it's a safe bet most Americans don't want war, but lets face it, Iran, at least the way our media seems to be spinning it cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

An all volunteer military will not be enough to sustain a war with Iran.

I am against sending any troops to the Middle East, I think the situation we (U.S.) finds itself in is tragic.

We should make peace our goal for all generations.

    Meanwhile back at the ranch.....

No, Maybe, Yes, Good to try, In reality it won't happen.

I will say this if one watches the world media and sees the open threats that the president of Iran Islamic heads are making. We will have no choice. We can either go and do something about it to minimize the consequences or we can sit on our hands till a nuke hits us. Either way there will be a war.

You might have seen in the news where a threat was issued to attack any country that supplies the US with oil by the radical Islamics. If not check it out. Just another threat against BAD BAD American imperialists and the countries who do business with them. The radicals are afraid of the freedom we enjoy and could spread through the world. If people are free they cannot be controlled. Radical Islam only works with that control in place over their people.

We cant afford the to wars we are fighting now. We lied to invade Iraq . The only people profiting from these wars are petroleum companies and the major stock holders like the Bushs . Along with defense and government contractors .While our citizens are struggling and being robbed of their money and liberty After politicians sold our job market over seas .Robbed social security for special interest programs and industrialized robbing and imprisoning our citizens That would give U.S. petroleum companies control of the largest oil reserves in it middle east .The people don't but greedy corrupt politicians do.

I for one support our troops no matter what they are doing, but I do not necessarily agree with how the war is being handled right now. One interesting positive aspect to this is the experiance given to our soldiers. The last "major" conflict the US was involved in was Vietnam and those soliders and officers who were combat veterans who have since retired or otherwise left...this leaves our soldiers with a serious lack of experianced combat commanders. Now these men and women are gaining the experiance needed to effectively command our nations military forces in the future generations.

In case you have forgotten, we were attacked on 9/11. It is difficult to maintain a peaceful co-existence while the other guy is killing your people. No, I do not want to fight Iran. I would just as soon we didn't have to fight anybody, but it seems that the terrorists are not happy with that scenario. I think the majority of Americans would just as soon have no more war, but sticking your head in the sand will not make it go away. When push comes to shove, you had better be able to make your opponent give ground or he will run over you.

I would work very hard to prevent my child from joining the military. I f someone wants to sacrifice their life for the sinister goals of Bush, that's on them. Don't drag me into that. I am and have always been against our presence in Iraq.

Most Americans just want to be left alone. If the world hates us fine hate us.

Some wars are worth fighting for, but the war on terror is a hoax! Ask Michael Meacher and many others that understand that this is a war for oil. Plain & simple! Welcome to reality!

I hope so. Most Americans probably don't even know where Iran is.
