In the United States you must be at least 16 to legally hold a job.

You have to be at least legal age to work, which is 16 in the U.S. There are limitations if you are under 18, you can't work with hazardous equipment and there's a limit on the number of hours per week.

Hey,
i think you have to be 16 or so. I'd suggest you be a bit older just in case(for some leeway).
I'd think that you would have to be very book savvy and have read a certain number of books.
