any direct train for Velankanni at Nagapattinam from Hyderabad?
I am planning to make a trip to the Velankanni at Nagapattinam from Hyderabad. I nned help with regards to bus or train travel from Hyd to Nagapattinam. Please do not post the railway website address to get ur two points. I have already checked that.

1. Hyderabad to chennai by train
2. From chennai get a omni bus (Best will be Rathimeena travels A/C which costs you around 300 Rs) which will take you to Nagapattinam / Velankanni in around 7 1/2 hours. Their website is http://www.rathimeena.co.in/rathisite/index.jsp. I have travelled few times in this route and it's a good one.
3. Just fyi, Nagapattinam is just 15 kms from velankanni.
There is no train service from chennai to velankanni / nagapattinam. Still if you prefer only train, hyderabad to chennai (by train)followed by chennai to trichy (Trichirapalli) by train and take a state transport bus from trichy to velankanni / nagapattinam ( around 150 kms) but this is circuitous & time consuming one.

why nobody is serious of putting atleast bi-weekly train direct from hyderabad, because many people keep visiting this church, because of its holiness. we will be happyif the present govt, does something about this at the earliest.
