why do dogs and cats don't like peanut butter?

Most animals don't like to get anything that is sticky on their paws or in their mouths. Its not the taste of peanut butter that makes many dogs and cats react, its the stickiness that makes the substance difficult to manipulate and swallow or difficult to clean off their paws.

My dogs love peanut butter. So does my parrot. I feed them all peanut butter 3-4 times a week.

most dogs (not sure about cats) love peanut butter, but if for any reason they dont, give a dog some peanut butter and you'll see why! haha

Not all cats and dogs. One dog I know refuses to leave the kitchen unless he gets his peanut butter toast in the morning.

dogs love peanut butter! It sticks to the roof of their mouth, very annoying.

Pets are like humans in many ways. Some like peanut butter and others really don't care for it. Just like many of us, we have certain tastes and prefer salty or sweet or in between.

Your question is more specific and similar to why do people not like coffee. I personally don't care for it. Others can't function without it.

Comes down to taste and preference.

My cats looooooooooooooooooooooooove peanut butter!!! I have five maine-coon cats ranging from 1year old to 3year old, and weight from 10kg - 15kg's!!

They also love marshmallows, the funniest part is when it starts sticking to the paws and they try and throw it off, when its off they go back for more????!!

The other one is biltong,(don't know if you have heard of this, as I am from South Africa. It is dried meat), and cheese curls.

If they had their way condensed milk as well!!!
