The best way to do it would be to use a router, a wireless router, actually...You would connect the DSL modem to the wireless router then if you have a laptop you can use a wireless card. Most laptops these days have a wireless card in them, if not you may have to purchase a wireless adapter. you can find them that connects in the USB ports or in the PC Card slots on your laptop. On your desktop system, you can connect it directly to the router, or you can get a PCI wireless adapter, or a USB connection as well.

Go to your local electronics/computer store and buy a either wireless or wired or have both on a router, the best bang for your buck is to get a wireless router with a 4 port switch and hook your dsl cable into it then you can either run a cable from one of the wired ports or buy a wireless card for the computer in the other room and connect to your router wirelessly, the last option is easiest and less troublesome and probably as cost efficient, linksys , and d-link make good router/switches..

Ahh... you'll need a router. Basically a router takes a MAC address (assigned to your computer by your internet provider) and splits it to multiple machines. Go to your local PC store and ask about routers. You don't need anything expensive, but keep in mind the cheaper the router, the fewer days it will last.
The router will have multiple ports for you to connect your computers to, as well as a port to plug the modem into it. The cord from the modem into your computer currently will go into the internet port. Then you will need 2+ ethernet cables to plug into your computer and into the available ports on the router.

Get a DSL router and plug the modem into it, then plug your computers both into the router.

You are going to need a Router.. recommend Linksys G router. Dont let sales people sell you the wireless N because you going to have to make a lot of changes.
Anyways get the router, look at the installation guide and you should be okay. Remeber its a Linksys wireless G.
Now if you are short on funds then, belkin, netgear and other routers would work.. but i like to stick with one brand and it hasnt failed me yet.
