What were the best and worst tades in MLB?

In the MLB what are the best and worst trades? Which team had the raw end of the deal, got a superstar or prospect bust or who got a steal. Any good trades that really helped both teams?

Worst (i.e. most lopsided) trade ever? 1900: the Giants get Christy Mathewson from the Reds for Amos Rusie. Mathewson won 372 games in 17 seasons for the Giants, Rusie went 0-1 for the Reds then retired.

I will always remember the trade between the Cardinals and Phillies. The Cardinals traded Steve Carlton for Rick Wise. How one sided was that deal??? Pads and Cards, Gary Templeton for Ozzie Smith!! Daaahhh!! There have been some real brain dead deals throughout the history of the game.

As a Twins fan, getting an All-Star closer in Joe Nathan, a servicable number 2 or 3 starter in Boof Bonser, and a future multiple Cy Young winner in Francisco Liriano for A.J. Pierzynski who is a prick, was hated in San Francisco, and run out of town after 1 season was the biggest steal of all time.

Detroit got a good deal in getting Sheff. He's still got some pop left, and he's always right around .290-.300. Texas got the best bargain in Gagne. No risk with that kind of money, and great upside.

The most lopsided trade ever has to be Broglio for Brock. Brock became one of the greatest players in the history of the game for the Cardinals. Broglio was an immediate flub.

when u think about it.. the worst trades are the best trades for the team that it wasn't the worst trade for and the best trades are in fact the worst trades for the team that didn't get the best deal of the trade.
