How can I get fabric softener out of the carpet?
I spilled some blue fabric softener on my carpet. I first put water on it then I had tried to blot it scrub it and even tried stain remover, but to no avail. Now it looks like a big dirty spot. Has anyone had this happen to them.? Please help I don't want to replace the carpet. It is Berbur carpeting.

White vinegar or white vinegar and warm water. Liquid fabric softener is waxy and the vinegar breaks up the waxy polymers. Be sure not to soak the carpet, and blot up excess moisture.
