my parrot is moody too, check if she behaves better if you keep your hands behind your back, it works with my parrot, let her/him come to you, don't just put one finger out, instead show a flat hand, have some treats on your flat hand, most of all spend daily a certain amount of time with your parrot so it gets very familiar with you & keep talking with it, they are in general a little moody good luck

Hi there. I'm sorry for your trouble. Sometimes, these birds bite for attention especially if you yell. So, I've learned not to overreact and push into the bite so the bird will release its grip. Rotate her toys even her favorite one. Give her foraging toys like food and a few treats in small pieces of wax paper with twisted ends, you can use small empty aspirin boxes, or stuff pine cones or cholla wood.Foraging is natural and is diversion to help keep from biting for attention. I give a firm and calm "No." If on a hand held perch, I gently wobble it when my bird tries to bite to show dominance over the bird. Time outs can be used in a covered cage for 1 minute only. The bird learns that good behaviour means more play time. In about a week your tweety should stop the behaviour. Have patience and a great year.

Just wondering, have you been keeping your bird up late, showing it to friends and not letting it go to bed. Young parrots sleep 12 to 14 hours a day. And they get cranky, just like us when they are sleep deprived. Make sure your bird stays on a routine, in bed by 9 every evening. A lot of new owners, pay way too much attention to a new bird, and then get bored and ignore the bird. Birds are living things. They respond to kindness and love. If she charges you, it means, please let me alone for a while, I am tired, sleepy, hungry or all three. She could be feeling unwell from a change of water too. Give her some time, be patient.

make sure she is having enough sleep. and of course the right diet can make there mood change quite a bit.

when she bites what do you do? if you have a reaction of course there gonna keep biting. the best thing to do is if she bites walk out of the room and ignore her. shut the door wait 5 mins then go back. just repeat this. remember if it hurts dont yell out"ah ****" or "ouch" cause thats a reataction. dont say anything just walk out of the room. they hate being ignored.

try luring her onto your finger with treats .she is new so all the move and different envioment most prob will make her a bit cranky. just be patient

Use the back of your hand close first.. They cannot bite tight skin.
