Conserned and fragel are not words.
D'Addario (I have used so far) and Ernie Ball (I'll switch to those on some guitars) are probably the best two companies; choose the gauge by your preference.

I agree with gm that both are good brands of strings, but it also depends on what genre of music you want to play. if you want to be able to do a lot of bending, you have to look at the guage of the strings as well. Go to a music store that sells a lot of guitars; usually they have players working in them. Ask them what they use or what they sell most of. As far as sound goes...it isn't just the string although a good quality string helps. A lot of blues players for instance use various strings for various sounds...it really depends on what you want to play

2-Censt: "Dean Markley" Super-Slinkies !
(They have a plain "G" string, are easier on the neck, too
-'cox THEY are thin).
Put a tiny sot of motor oil ON ya' fingers;
rub it along the 3 plain strings: (do NOT tollerate rust)!
-But do not tollerate ANY grease on the three wound strings..
Being 'thinnish', they are happily tuned-up in "F"..
-instead of "E": if that suits yo' singing key:
(yeah, they CAN BE one-fret, tighter)! -If the singer, wants..
