Well you may not want to pressure your friend into staying with you all the time, but you can start out by asking him/her to stay with you more often or by doing something together. After a while just start to do things that only you and your friend would do, making it seem that he/she couldn't do this without you. If that person starts to back away each time you offer you may only be wasting your time with him/her. Other than that, have fun! ;)
