NISSAN PICKUP 96 AIR INTAKE QUESTIoN?

OK . I HAVE A NISSAN PICKUP 96 2.4 AND GOING TO MY AIRBOX IS THIS LONG AIR INTAKE TUBE THAT GO'S TO MY INNER FENDER AND WHEN I TAKE THE LONG TUBE GOING TO MY AIR BOX OFF MY ENGINE TONE GETS DEEPER WHEN I PUNCH THE ACCELERATOR AND I LIKE IT BUT I DONT KNO IF THIS IS MESSING MY AIR/FUEL RATIO UP OR MY ENGINE ITSELF CAN U TELME IF THIS IS GOOD OR BAD !!!

if you didnt remove airfilter it should be ok  just need to replace air filter more often  plus your not getting the best clean air for your engine

You can buy after market air cleaners that will do the ame thing and actully give you better performance on some you have the atmsopheric pressure switch in the tube and it will affect fuel miliage, but buy an after market air cleaner filter you can increase hourse power by as much as 20% percent.

its bad because your engine is breathing in dirty air, what your intake does it filters the air , put it back on if you want it louder and performance get a knn filter
