I have only a very rudimentary background in karyotypes and genetics. I know that the first number, 46, is the number of chromosomes your daughter has. 46 is the normal number. XX means she's female. She got an X chromosome from each parent. The rest I can't help you with but I believe that the numbers 22, 11, 23 & 13 refer to those specific chromosomes. You should have spoken to her doctor about this diagnosis. Please make the call on Tuesday. In the meantime, I hope someone with a more extensive background than I can tell you what you wish to know.

I don't remember my genetic classes very well...but t means translocation, maybe between chromosome 11 and 22.

q means the big arm of the chromosome 23.

46XX means she is a normal female.

Sorry i can´t help you as much as i want.
