Keyboard problem?
Some characters are mixed up on the keyboard of my notebook. This sentence would read: S60e characters are 05xed 4* 6n 0y n6teb662. I've never had this problem before. Any suggestions?

Your number lock feature is probably turned on.
Find the function key (sometimes marked as Func, others have an F in a box).
Find the Number lock key (NumLock or Num).
Hold down the Function key and press the number lock key.
Try the keys on your keyboard again.
If that doesn't help, then it may be time to clean or replace the keyboard.

for starters, hey Jennifer, it's a notebook or laptop not a pc.
chances are you held the shift key down too long. this enable the funky accessibility options. goto the system properties found by holding down the windows key and hit the pause/break key. now select the hardware tab and finally the device manager. find the keyboard selection and click on the plus. when expanded, highlight the keyboard that is listed and at the top select the delete button to delete it. you'll have to restart your computer after this. when it starts back up, it will find and install the correct drivers for it and all should work fine again.

Has there been anything spilled on the keyboard lately? Laptops in general are very flimsy, the ribbon cables used are so fine that even the slightest bit of moisture can damage them.
Heat is another problem, often the connection ribbon between the keyboard and motherboard can wear out from heat alone.
If you've had this machine for a couple of years, I would think it was heat, if it's new I'd say something was spilled.

I had a similar problem with one in each of my laptops purely my key (it replaced into the V) might want to come on and live to tell the tale. I went to Radio Shack and offered some contact cleanser. Then I pried off the most and sprayed the contact cleanser onto the section that replaced into nevertheless there. I allow it dry and got here back later, positioned the most back on and that is been operating ever because. Stuff receives lower than the keys and many times stops them from operating. even if it truly is dirt, you would possibly want to attempt the canned air to blow lower than the keys. might want to artwork.
