Scottish People please answer. state place and date of birth please.

Update:

Independence all the way! As for Nathaniel, he must not be a true bred Scot! Of course we have a different culture! Too many times these days do people refer to us as part of England. We have a unique history set apart from England and while being part of the U.K has been fun, Its time for us to be back on our own. Saying that we are the same is absolute RUBBISH!

    Independence? Rubbish.

    1. It would be an economic disaster. Scotland is a small country that can reap benefits from being part of economic Great Britain. SNP claims that we can rely on 'North Sea oil money,' however this is a myth. We would be 'putting all of our eggs in one basket.' It would be a horrible idea, and would damage property values across the country. Once the oil runs out? What next? Where will we go then? Back to England?

    2. Culture. Scotland isn't 'independent' now (although we are still recognized as a country and have a Parliament). But, we still have a culture. It has deteriorated, but no more or no less than that of England. We still have traditions that the English don't. So, I don't see this as a persuasive argument.

    3. Scotland has a bad history of poor legislative decision making - Parliament and the Scottish Executive - need I say anymore?

I think we should be independent because we would become one of the richest countries in the world. The majority of the oil reserves (Around 40 years worth) in the north sea would be in Scottish water so the taxes the oil companies would pay would be the same amount as today but would be spent on a country with a much smaller population, therefore better health care, education, armed services, emergency services and so on....

Tourism would have the same effect.

    Could not come quick enough.

Roll on the May elections to the Scottish Parliament when we cast out the shackles of Blair's puppet (aka Jack McConnell) as the first step towards regaining our independance.

It is discourteous to ask the age of a lady, not that courtesy towards the Scots has been high on any english agenda

Yes, Scotland should go it alone, then we can blame nobody else for any mistakes we make but ourselves.
