Can someone give me a list of aquarium plants that don't grow very tall, ie. good for small aquariums?

Well, many plants that grow tall can be kept in small tanks - they just need to be trimmed. Such as ludwegia, frill, cabomba, sunset hygrophelia, bacopa.

Some small plants that stay small:

Java moss

Java fern (gets big but grows slowly)

Small anubias (ie anubias v. nana)

Dwarf chain sword

Blyxa Japonica

Banana plant

Riccia

I love banana plants, java moss, and Baby's Breath which is'nt that easy to come by, but is stunning and grows really nicely as a foreground plant.

i enjoy banana plants in my ten gallon fish tank. they are very short tho and only for show really. i most of all reccommend fake plants because even though they arent real they dont grow and are easy to maintain healthy and everthing...plus if you have a algae eating fish fake plants are a great help...this is a really helpful website...
