has a legal law been broken if a new partner does not reveal they have venereal disease?
if they are hiv or hsv positive is it required to disclose this, the question came up and i didn't know if someone contracted hsv from someone who didn't tell them they had it and gave it to someone, can they sue them for damages and cost, thank u this is just needed information
more or less i was referring to herpes which as i've heard has no cure and if someone does not disclose this are they liabel knowing forehand that they could disclosed this and not infected the other person, again be knowledgeable thank u

i'm asking this for a friend of aq friend who doesn' really learn to the veltrax commerical on TV thast says it is 70% transferable even with out an out break it is still uncurable and i'm worried for this person being liable? for the care of the person who may want danmages for the problem that could be avoided~thank you

You can file a lawsuit against the person if they knew that they had the disease and did not disclose it.

If they know they are infected and pass it on, it is illegal. If they dont know, then no crime has been committed. Its not what someone does, but the manner that they do it. It may also vary by your different local and state laws, but generally they are the same. Being able to cure a disease or condition has nothing to do with it. You can try to shoot someone and get life for attempted murder, or actually shoot to wound them and get the same sentence. No matte what the intent, it was still the same result.

I don't know about where you are but in Michigan it is a crime. Anyone that has a contagious disease and fails to tell the other person will be charged under "failure to disclose" I believe it is a felony.

In some states, knowingly exposing someone to HIV/AIDS is a crime. I don't think there are any other "knowingly giving someone ___ (herpes, gohnorrea, HPV, etc.)" is illegal.

No, but with active HIV , the person can face jail time......the other stuff so far is curable.
