"In my case, I run background checks on my personnel before employing them. You will be surprised about everything that can be found about someone. But since I am only interested in things that could be dangerous or potentially problematic, I disregard anything that is not necessary, because I need to be a fair employer."
In answering this I have to use this part of this. I have to say this that my life has been so different then so many peoples lives that I have learned things that people like this guy will never get.
Situations and circumstances are not the same for everyone nor is motive or action. It can even be different from minute to minute.
I think that if we don't give people a chance because of what happened in their backgrounds that we are using poor judgements. I think that is why our world is in such a mess that it is in.
I think that no man can or should judge another unless they have walked a mile in their shoes. Life is so unexpected, but we have people like this that want and need these boxes because it makes them feel safe and these people can actually be dangerous as well. Sometimes more so because it is easier for them to get in places where they can get away with things easier or they go off so called unexpectedly.
We often don't think about what a danger is, driving a car is dangerous we don't have to make the mistake, there are to many dumbies out on the road that will make if for us.
Carrying and using a gun is just as dangerous no matter who does it. Mountain climbing, skiing, being a police are dangerous.
You can't know that you can't know unless you are a person like me that has beaten the odds and looks back and can say I told you so, and you were the dumbie for letting me off the hook.
I might have been your best employee had you given me the chance and allowed me to be who I was and you might have respected the work that I did for you instead if you would have perhaps given me the right accomodations or looked past that history that you had no clue as to really.
Instead you made me take the other road and so I did, and I used it better then I might have if I would have taken yours. Two roads diverge and thus we survive or we don't, and if we survive we stop by snowy woods every once in a while. Thanks

There is no way to completely know a person 100%. When you work with people, you get a pretty good idea of how a person is as the time passes. However, people change. One day a person can be totally the opposite to how he/she has been for years.
Some people are quite predictable. FBI profilers do exactly that. Seek for patterns, and can come up (most of the time at least) with a pretty good prediction of what a person will do and how that person life was even as a child.
In my case, I run background checks on my personnel before employing them. You will be surprised about everything that can be found about someone. But since I am only interested in things that could be dangerous or potentially problematic, I disregard anything that is not necessary, because I need to be a fair employer.

There are three ways you can recognize good people.1) By having monetary dealings with them. 2) By staying in the same neighborhood and 3) After you have traveled with them. By these methods you con judge people and then decide to trust them or not

The best way to know who to trust is to observe what they're doing. Usually good people are the ones doing good things. However, there are bad people everywhere. And it's amazing how normal they look. I've seen pictures of people who've done the most hideous forms of murder, etc. and sometimes I think to myself, "if I passed that person on the street, I would think he was a normal and even sharp looking person." We can't always judge by appearance. I would think that the best thing to do would be to stay in clean and wholesome places. Crimes may happen there, but it is very rare compared to other places. Watch what people are doing. But other than that, there's not much you can do except to continually watch yourself and be careful.

Strength respects Strength. To be Good is strength. Trust is different and for this one has to observe. It is suicidal to give a self-cheque to a stranger to en cash it for you. Greed and Lust bring all the mis-trust. Nobody or no method can ensure it because human mind is un-fathomable.

I have learned in life that it takes a lot of time for me to trust, and also to never trust ANYONE completely. I depend on myself for the most part.
