  • Is it correct or not to deny my First Time Home Buyer Credit?

At first the IRS examiner said that I needed my driver's license to show my new property address. Latter she said I needed bank statements showing my new property address. Then she requested my house alarm bill, telephone bill, and some other bills to also show my new address, as proof of me living at the new house. Since I didn't have any bills, she said, "well, you must send me that evidence in order for me to approve your tax credit". I got into those debts, only to meet her requirements, and sent her copy of the contracts and bills as they arrived.

Later she said that she couldn't read the HUD-1 because the letters were very tiny. I increased the size on my scanner/printer and sent it to her.

She denied my credit now, because I entered into a binding contract on Feb, 5, 2010, and closed on May 27, 2010. She now says I only had until May 1, 2010 to claim the credit.

In addition, she is denying my credit, because my wife is a foreign national, and does not live in the USA yet. (My wife barely got the her visa last Monday). According to the IRS examiner, I deserve nothing for being married to a foreign national, and that veterans should get nothing for fighting an "immoral war".

Does anyone have any idea how to fight this? Any number to call - besides the Taxpayer's Advocate Office (which seems to know less about taxes and law than my 2 y/o baby daughter)? Need help quickly. IRS examiner made me get into more than $500 in expenses only to deny me my tax credit.

NOTE: I'm disable veteran. I'm not rich, and I can't believe there is no agency that can really help us to fight this abuse. Post replies here or contact me to dgon1329 @ aol . com

  • QUESTION FOR TAX EXPERTS & KNOWLEDGEABLES?

When a first time home buyer entered into a binding contract in February 2010 to purchase a home, and the purchase was completed on May 28, 2010, Does the first time home buyer qualifies for the first time home buyer tax credit claimed in his/her 2009 tax return? According to the IRS examiner the answer is "no" because the house was purchased after March 31, 2010. According to banks and real estate agents, the answer is "yes".

Note: If you need more details, feel free to ask by sending me a message.

  • Do You Believe Is Right That Non Profits Spend Donation Funds in Luxury Hotels, Cars, Etc.?

While working with the victims of Haiti's earthquake taken to the Dominican Republic, I found many individuals from different non-profits enjoying stays at luxury hotels and renting expensive cars with donation funds, as if they were vacationing (doing nothing at all for the victims). Mean while, my FL non-profit only received twenty bucks donation, and we had 92 earthquake victims to help and we used our personal savings to help them while funds lasted. The campaign on the media telling the people to donate only to "reputable" (should I say, "wasteful"?) non profits, seems to have convinced the people to donate only to those entities, instead to other smaller non-profits that really help people without wasting money.

  • To Domestic Violence Victims &Concerned: What else is needed to effectively fight Domestic Violence?

I keep noticing that domestic violence incidents keep rising instead of being reduced. Could it be posible that the government and non profits are missing "something" when dealing with this type of social illness? If so, what would that be?

PS: HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY to all women here in Yahoo Answers. Blessings to all of you.

  • For Christians: If there's only one God, and Jesus is God, then who was Jesus speaking to?

If there's only ONE God, and Jesus is God, then who was Jesus speaking to when he was praying, and when he was at the Cross about to die?

As far as I know, he couldn't have been praying to himself (that would make no sense in any Christian doctrine), and while giving up his spirit at the cross, he spoke to the Father as a separate entity/person. Could this mean that there are two or more Christian Gods, and that the Ancient Text Translators made a few minor mistakes? At least this would explain many of the errors found in the Bible.

    SERIOUS RESPONSES ONLY, PLEASE.
