For Christians: If there's only one God, and Jesus is God, then who was Jesus speaking to?

If there's only ONE God, and Jesus is God, then who was Jesus speaking to when he was praying, and when he was at the Cross about to die?

As far as I know, he couldn't have been praying to himself (that would make no sense in any Christian doctrine), and while giving up his spirit at the cross, he spoke to the Father as a separate entity/person. Could this mean that there are two or more Christian Gods, and that the Ancient Text Translators made a few minor mistakes? At least this would explain many of the errors found in the Bible.

SERIOUS RESPONSES ONLY, PLEASE.

Trinity in christianity is a man made philosophy, every one knows except beginer orthodox or lay persons, this concept is propogated years after the death of Jesus (pbuh), and not all the sects of christians believe in this concept, not only confused one but also logically or rationally un-proved from there own sources of proves. But todays christians (mostly on the internet espessially, perhaps a teenager group or non thinkers) think this is there main concept, which is not true according to the Bible, at least.

There are recorded several evidences that after the introduction of Trinity concept in christianity, the later editions of bible was translated and changed gradually or instantly, to reflect the same concept in closer allegorical ways, by simple changing the whole sentence or by changing some of the words in it, more you see the older versions of bible, more you will be away from the trinity concept.

One may need no reference for the above, just ask some christian that he should prove this from bible, no need to argue with if he is not a thinker, just search the verse he has shown in older versions of Bible, you will gain the truth. In fact common persons dont have the ability of in depth researches, this is the problem of human as a whole, and not related to any particular religion.

Those who have corrupted or cheated, they have earned the power and rule, what common persons have earned by following them blindly, is the question one should ask to himself, no matter what religion he or she is practicing.

No, there is only one God, Jesus has always been there, but God the father is God the father. Jesus chose to be born of a human mother and to die for the sins of God's people so that they can be forgiven. Jesus is the ere to the throne of heaven. He is the king of all who come to heaven through salvation. And being no person is without sin, he is King to all who go to heaven. See, God is an all knowing God, it is promised way back in the old testament that there would be a savior, so Jesus had to already be in existence. If you read the Bible this is all explained in there. Even if you aren't a christian, you can read the bible, just to learn about it. It is an awesome book. Careful though, there is life in God's word.

You are seeing things in a way that says you have a humble and open attitude, which is a quality that is not present in this world that we live in.

You are right Jesus was talking to his creator and his God and Heavenly father. See (John 20:17) 17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’”

    Colossians 1:15, Revelation 3:14, 1 Corinthians 11:3, Ephesians 1:17, Proverbs 8:21-31, Psalms 83:18,

To see that Jesus was in a position that was special with his father and was given a job to do and pass on to his followers. See Mathew 28:18,19

To understand the knowledge of God and to understand that man will never be able to rule this earth with any success is seen by what man has already accomplished in the last 6000 years, For this reason we need to search out God's plans for his earth and our part in them? If you would like to know then I can send you Scriptural thoughts as you wish.

Jesus was created the almighty has always been here, these are the scriptures to prove it. Jesus is the first thing the Almighty ever created.

(Colossians 1:15-17) . . .5 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,

(Revelation 3:14) 14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,

(Acts 7:55) 55 But he, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand,

(Revelation 1:1) 1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,

(Revelation 7:10) 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

If there is only one God and Jesus is God, then (1) either Jesus was talking to himself or (2) Jesus was talking to one-third of himself. Neither makes sense. Neither is taught in scripture.

Some people say "it is a mystery." It is certainly true that there are many deep things in the Bible that are difficult to understand, but they do not defy reason. That would violate 1 Corinthians 14:33 which clearly states, in the New American Bible, " . . .he is not the God of disorder but of peace." Christ himself closely linked everlasting life with taking in knowledge of God and the one whom God sent. John 17:3. Clearly, knowledge is necessary to worshiping God acceptably. How can anyone possibly do that if they are lacking fundamental knowledge as to exactly who God is?

No, there are not two or more Christian Gods. And there are no real errors found in the Bible. I have heard that many times but have never had an actual doctrinal error pointed out to me. Perhaps you have one in mind that you could share?

I think that the majority of Christians believe that these are not one in the same. There is God, and then there is Jesus his son. Jesus states in the bible, "I will be seated at the right hand of my father." Then there is the holy trinity...the father, son, & holy spirit......but thats a whole other question.

    In all seriousness...

God created all. He is the father of all.

Jesus is God's spirit wrapped in flesh. He is God. The flesh is what separates the two. God sent Jesus to live among man and show us how to live in this world - controlled by Satan. Man were so caught up in their wicked ways (greed, envy, jealousy, and self-glorification) that they did not accept Jesus' words. They tortured him and hung him on the cross. During that time, Jesus was setting himself up to be the sacrifice for Man's disbelief in God. By doing this, Jesus bared the sins of all man (past present and future). Remember, during his 33 years on earth he has been sinless. By taking on the sins of man, he has never been this far from God's spirit, so the weight was tremendous and terrifying to him - hince his crying out to God. Jesus died then rose again, and ascended to heaven. afterwards the Holy Spirit (also a part of God) came to earth and dwelt within the believers.

So you have God (the father of all), Jesus (the son of God), and the Holy ghost (God's spirit that dwells inside believers). God in 3 person.

Jesus is not God; he's the Son of God. John 10:36.

Jesus isn't God, he's talking spectacular here to the 1st century Christian congregation of Philadelphia. he's clearly talking of his God, now no longer himself. it is going to grow to be even clearer on a similar time as examining on with the aid of means of verse 14: “And to the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: those are the flaws that the Amen says, the uncomplicated and real witness, the beginning up of the creation with the aid of means of God... " As Colossians a million:15 additionally tells us, Jesus Christ replaced into the beginning up of the creation with the aid of means of God, God's firstborn Son. Jesus gave witness approximately his Father in heaven and not did he declare to be his Father, or Almighty God. He replaced into consistently subject to, in submission to, his Father.

Jesus as perfectly God and perfectly Man.

The Incarnation conversing with the Father.

Without the Trinity, the idea does become impossible to understand...hence the ridiculous points of view most Protestants come up with (most of them heretical to the last).

Jesus is the Father is the Holy Spirit is Jesus
