There is much debate about this but historians suggest that Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world at around 10,000 years or more. Hinduism was the foundation for Buddhism which is 2500 years old that has many similarities to Christian spirituality.

The Judaism and the Hebrews. In fact Christianity developed out of Judaism, now wether it has a link with Zoroaster in persia that is debatable since the zoroastrains believe in two principles, tow Gods while the hebrews were monotheistic par excellence.

OK You seem to be putting it kinda complicated. The knowlege I have about religions tells me that Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism, and Judaism in its turn well, Abraham came from Sumer, and Sumer's religion was I think unknpwn but close to fertility rites and politeistic.

Dr. My first answer was short but now you really got me expanding it. OK, I'll stop here and wait for your veredict and debate over it if neccesary, lol

Judaism. Since Christianity is basically the continuation of the fulfillment of the prophecies made in the Old Testament. But I agree with Dave if you're asking about ones with basicly the same beliefs that weren't Jews. (if that makes sense....hard to explain)

Mormonism. In 559 BC Jacob wrote:

"For if there be no Christ there be no God; and if there be no God we are not, for there could have been no creation. But there is a God, and he is Christ, and he cometh in the fulness of his own time."

Jacob was not really Mormon in today's meaning, but it is from the Book on Mormon.

How about this. When was Enoch alive?

"And it came to pass that Enoch continued his cry unto the Lord, saying: I ask thee, O Lord, in the name of thine Only Begotten, even Jesus Christ, that thou wilt have mercy upon Noah and his seed, that the earth might never more be covered by the floods."

Zoroasterism. Paul borrowed a lot of concepts from that faith and in many ways, it is closer to Christianity than any other.
