What to do with cooked beans' water?

Seems a waste to throw it out.

You could use it to water the garden.

I like the idea of using it in soup. I have never had that problem, I usually cook my beans till they soak op most of the water and start to cook apart, so there isn't any water left over. Not quite as much as refried beans, but like a thick stew anyway, great over cornbread!

I save some of it to thin out soups or refried beans.

strange not to sure but did you know if you boil the beans after they are soaked overnight with a tablespoon of baking soda for a few min and drain and rinse a few times the nasty gas making ingredient will come out you wont stink later on:D just thought you ought to know
