NYC? Hmmm. Don't know about the city but Im from upstate NY and we have either IHOP or Dennys'. And IHOP is the best place for fruit filled pancakes. Do a little bit of travelling outside your town and make a day of it. You'll be surprised.

    Good Eats!!!

I think the best place to get pancakes with fruit inside is right in your own kitchen. Experiment, have some fun. There is nothing like making what you are really looking for right in your own kitchen. Look at all the money you will save by doing it yourself. But if you feel like going out for breakfast once in awhile, the only place I can suggest is IHOP.

Make your own....use blueberries, strawberries, apples, peaches etc.

    Prep time: about 20 minutes

    Ingredients:

    3/4 c. flour

    1 tbsp. sugar

    1 tsp. baking powder

    1/2 tsp. salt

    1 tbsp. margarine

    1 egg

    3/4 c. milk

1/2 c. blueberries, washed and drained

    extra margarine for the pan

    Directions:

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set the bowl aside.

Melt the margarine in a small saucepan.

Crack the egg into a medium-size bowl, then add the milk and melted margarine.

Whisk until everything is well mixed.

Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture. Whisk again until both mixtures are blended together.

Put extra margarine in the saucepan and heat it on the stove top on medium heat. It is hot enough when the margarine starts to bubble.

Use a measuring cup or a small ladle to spoon the batter into the pan. Put some blueberries on top of each pancake.

Cook your pancakes on medium heat until small bubbles appear on the top.

Use a spatula to see when your pancakes are light brown on the bottom. When they are, flip them over with the spatula.

Cook for another few minutes until the pancakes are light brown on the other side.

Remove your pancakes and put them on plates to enjoy!

    Serves: 2

Serving size: 3 or 4 medium pancakes

Norma's at Le Parker Meridian on 57th Street

(the best blueberry pancakes ever - also good banana pancakes)

I'm not sure if it's still around, but, The Royal Canadian Pancake House made great blueberry and apple pancakes.

try Original Pancake House.... or something along those lines. do you mean a crepe type pancake w/ fruit filling? or actual fruit inside the batter? haven't seen much of that unless i'ts apple or pumpkin.. good luck! :)

rather lots any berry would be solid! blackberries, raspberries, wild berries, etc. i like peaches (or nectarines), bananas, or maybe pineapple on pancakes. attempt including only a splash coconut milk on your pancake recipe or chopped walnuts, pecans, chocolate chips...
