Power on Laptop goes off?
My battery was low and the laptop went into hibernation. I plugged it in but it didn't help. I hit reset and then it started to charge the battery. I turned on the laptop and after a few minutes the laptop shut down. Is there anything I can do to stop this. This happened with the AC plug connected and not using battery power.

If the ac adapter has an LED on it:
1. plug ac adapter into the wall outlet only
a. if the light comes on go to step 2.
b. if the light doesn't come on you could have a bad ac adapter. if you have a spare ac adapter try it next.
2. plug ac adapter into laptop
a. if light stays on then it "could" be just the battery.
b. if the light goes out then you most likely you have a bad motherboard.
3. if you have a warranty on the system call tech support with your issue and let them know the steps you've taken and get the replacement part or repair done.

Interesting problem...so you're saying because the OS sees that the battery is low, it goes directly back into hibernation?
Try taking the battery off the laptop. Maybe the laptop will realize it's running off of AC power that way.
