tell yourself to be strong. it helps me to sometimes repeat these empowering phrases to myself:

"the only thing i will ever be in control of is this moment i'm in right now"

"everyday, in every way my a$$ is getting smaller." (haha this one makes me laugh while keeping myself on track)

think about how you will feel *after* you eat the ice cream or pizza.

maybe you should let your husband know that his eating habits are throwing you off track. he should be willing to compromise with you in order to keep his sexy, skinny wife!

remind yourself of how hard you've worked, 20 lbs is a WONDERFUL accomplishment, so don't throw it away on food that's only going to keep you happy for a few seconds!

Yep!! My doctor told me I had to get my triglycerides and cholesterol down, and therefore I had to eat less and get more exercise. I did all that, and at the next visit, two months later, I think, he gave me a "gold star" for having lowered my triglycerides by 75% and dropping my cholesterol to within the safe range, and losing 10 pounds. Having been a VERY AVID bicycle racer and long distance rider and runner, I knew I had gotten "out of training", especially since I had lost one of my legs in a train accident and was now comfortably retired. But when you "put me to the challenge", I can beat you "hands down" in the food and weight departments. God Bless you.

Yes, but if you are loosing weight he should not be eating that kind of stuff in front of you, that's not helping support you in helping you diet. That's one reason why allot of married people stay large is because the other half ( be it the man or woman ) will not help them in dieting.Either by eating in front of them foods they shouldn't have or trying to get them to eat the foods and by not encouraging them on.

My husband is trying to loose weight too! I am helping support him by NOT eating sweets or other foods he shouldn't have in front of him. By NOT keeping allot of snacks in the house and what snacks we do have are healthier. We also by healthier foods for the whole household such as : butter, cooking spray, wheat breads, low calorie TV dinners, ect......

SO, ask your husband to stop doing that !!!!! IT'S RUDE !!!!! tell him to start supporting you in what you do. It's self improvement which will help you live a longer and better life, ( and you'll look nicer !) you might remind him of that and keep reminding him . He should start helping you.

And by the way GOOD FOR YOU !!!!

The answer is you have to lokk deep inside you, and look at your strengths and weaknesses, and determine if the will power to turn down food is one of them. I have the will power to turn down, food, I do it often.
