Is my dog pregnant if she is had leakage at the time of conception??
I am trying to read up on this but I am still not sure. Is there a low chance that my dog is pregnant if there was drainage at the time of conception? And also the male dog constantly licks the liquid that drains out of her. Is that normal?

Hi shytiger!
Confirming pregnancy necessitates a trip to the veterinary office. The earliest method of pregnancy detection is ultrasound -- a nice test because it is noninvasive and very reliable. Fetal heartbeats can be detected at around the 25th day from first breeding. Also veterinarians can usually diagnose pregnancy through abdominal palpation at twenty-eight days or by using ultrasound or X-ray tests.
Signs of pregnancy include increased appetite, weight and breast size. Dogs with false pregnancy can also exhibit these symptoms, however. Your dog most likely have a normal canine pregnancy.

If you are trying to get her pregnant then you do not need to worry about any slight leakage after mating. Sperm is ejaculated first and then large amounts of fluid are pumped in to wash the sperm down the reproductive tract of the female. If, however, you don't want puppies then you can take her to a vet and get a jab which will prevent the pregnancy from taking.

she is very likely pregnant, if she is healthy and he is healthy and not overweight. ..The leakage makes no difference..
You can have her safely spayed within the first 3 weeks of pregnancy.

when they "leak" they say they are in heat, which means the will allow a dog to mount her and get her pregnant. so their is a good chance she is pregnant.
