I would do semi or satin. Flat is just too drab on anything! Maybe try some test patches low and out of sight on the wall. Use all three close together, let dry, then decide. They don't have to be all same color, maybe you can find the three types on your paint shelf.
The texture might look nice with a little shine. I use satin or semi for my ceilings anymore. Even on walls if they are pretty smooth. I love the light shimmer instead of the drab flat or eggshell look and it is easier to wipe clean. The only problem with using a shinier paint on walls is if they are old and have alot of flaws. So if you have textured walls don't worry about using semi or satin. They will look nice.

It doesn't matter if they are textured or not, you could use any of them. It is the sheen or gloss of the paint that makes them all different. Flat lacks any luster or shine, satin is the next level up on the 'shine factor' but it isn't overpowering (I use satin, I think it is the nicest, personally). Semigloss paint has a definite shine to it. Depending on what you want, choose accordingly! I also am pretty sure semigloss cleans easier than the other two, but I am not absolutely certain. Either way, with any, and I mean ANY wall stain whether it be crayon or permanent marker, you can remove it completely with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It can remove almost any stain for that matter, anywhere. But that is totally besides the point :)
Happy painting!

Semi-gloss or satin will work for a dining room but that textured wall might be a royal pain to paint over unless you use the right roller or brush.
Visit a home store to find out what brush or roller to use, that will relieve headaches. They make specific brushes for the various techniques.
Semi-gloss has a less sheen than satin. It's easier to clean also.

Flat paint will hide most imperfections in older homes or on older walls. Surfaces that have been painted more than once often have these blemishes i.e. expansion/contraction cracks etc, even old roller marks or brush strokes. Semi-Gloss or Satin for rooms where you want brightnes such as bathroom or kitchen, for themed rooms like dinning room i recommend flat.

I used semi-gloss. They are nice paints, fantastic colors easy to wipe off and they really look nice.

flat looks good on textured walls.
you can roll it, use a roller with a longer nap

Use Eggshell...DONT use semi gloss...semi gloss is for kitchens and bathrooms.
