Has anyone ever taken an ALASKA TRIP BY MOTORCYCLE?

It ain't for wienies, but don't listen to the couch sitters whose idea of adventure is trying a different brand of yogurt. The route to Fort St John in BC varies depending on where you start from, but there's only one road from there. The great Alaskan highway. Bring a good tent and bike cover. You'll spend some time waiting out the rain, maybe in pretty remote areas. You'll kill a lot of bugs, so going on a bike with no windshield isn't too practical. The road might be in need of maintenance in spots, so it will be slow going in places.

It will likely be one of the hardest things you've ever done. And one of the best. You'll never see beauty anything like that again if you live to be 100. People will think you're crazy for going and you won't care.

Haven't you ever heard of the HO'ka hey bike run? Key West, Fl to Homer, Ak.? The tough part of the continental run is lack of gas stations in northern Canada and eastern Alaska. You could always go to Bellingham, Washington and put yourself and your bike on the state ferry that goes to Ketchikan and up to Haines or to Juneau and change boats for the "cross gulf" run to Whittier. This gets you back on the highway to Anchorage and Fairbanks or from Haines up to Tok and either to Fairbanks or Anchorage. If you decide to ride it, watch out for the "frost heaves". Only do it from June to august. and never camp out without knowing how to "bear camp". Never ride fast where there are Large mammals that may be on the road, because you might be the other part of the blood splatter on the road. Never mess with or even get close to a moose and above all else "HAVE FUN!".

Spring and summer season is orange cone season meaning that a lot of highway maintenance happens. sure, you would be at the back of schedule and detoured lots and you will tension on gravel lots. in any different case, the completed tension alongside the AlCan highway is outstanding and noteworthy. The atmosphere and organic international is astonishing!

I dont think thats possible. It would be extremely cold and the roads probably are not passable.
