Muslims: How do you feel about the practice of female genital mutilation?

Naturally, I feel horrified by this. This practice is not Islamic. Nowhere in the Quran does it state by Allah that we must do female genital mutilation. A real Muslim won't do this. It is in the heads of men that have no business connecting themselves with Islam. They need help and all I can do is pray or join an organization to stop this terrible practice.

Female genital mutilation occurs in Central and Southern Africa and those countries aren't Islamic. Only Northern Africa is Muslim countries. Female genital mutilation isn't allowed in Islam and has more to do with cultures. It's a heinous act that shouldn't be forced on young girls at all and no I don't agree with it because it is wrong and barbaric. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.

It is definately a cultural practice and not a religious one. No, I don't agree with it and neither do most pious Muslims. It's disgusting and barbaric.

In Islam, circumsision is only for Males, No thing in islam as Vaginal mutilation.
