California Law= u cant spank your kid under the age of 3?

ok i live in california why are they making this into a law that we cant spank our kids under the age of 3 i can understand if its a new born child but why is it that they are snooping there noise in our business to try to tell us how to raise our kids. How eles is we going too teach our kids right from wrong. I guess they want another criminal in there system. And what gets me is that, if they cant make this joke of a law then why cant we make laws that keep sex offenders in jail without probation. Why is it that a sex offenders gets probation with in 3-6 years and doesnt register as a sex offender and goes out and does the same thing, when is it when they are going to wake up and see this is more serious then making a law where u cant spank your kids. I guess when one of there kid gets sexually assaulted then there wake up and put a law on this. If a drug dealer can do 10 years for a little weed or a pound of cocaine, then a sex offender should get life in prison what do u guys think
