My 2002 honda accord se vibrates when i apply the brakes especially at high speeds?

Yes, the previous posts were right about the brake rotors. Since the rotors are warped, the braking force will vary as the wheel rotates. This will be directly related to speed. Fast speed braking = fast vibration. Slow speed braking = slow vibration.

If you don't get this taken care of soon, it will wear the tire unevenly. This will make it wear more on one side of the tire than the other. Since you lose more rubber on one side, it will make the tires go out of balance. Then you'll have that old familiar out of balance vibration too.

If you mentioned vibration during braking, any mechanic worth his name badge should have suggested to you that the rotors get machined or replaced. If you turned that service down, then, you know the rest.

I think the first answer probably was right - warped rotor. It may be possible to have the rotor turned at a brake shop or machine shop to solve the problem, but really rotors are cheap so replace them is likely both better and simpler anyway.

i own a repair shop,and its probably the rotors that need to be turned,usually when brake pads are put on is a good time to do this,but you can always have it done after,the bad part of it,is the new pads are now worn to the shape of the warped rotors,and it may take them a while to straiten back up,or they could wear the rotors off uneven again,either way to get the shake out of it,you,ll have to get them turned down or replace them,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Replace the rotors, that's the culprit 95% of the time when someone describes this problem. If they're from 2002, they did a good job, and they're so cheap don't think twice about them.

do you feel it in the steering wheel or all over? if more in the steering wheel the front rotors (one or both) are out of true. sometimes stopping in a slight turn could extenuate it and help diagnose the culprit.

with the thin rotors on these cars heavy breaking often will cause worpage

It does sound as if your rotors are warped. If that is the case, you brake pads won't last long due to uneven wear. Take it back in to have that checked out.

You may have warped rotors. There nothing to worry about now, but a couple months from now they could be a real pain in the ***. So i suggest replacement.

Have your wheel balancing and alignment checked but yes you could have warped rotors you didn't specify front or rear vibration so it's really hard to suggest more.

yah its new rotors and probably new pads. If you know someone good with cars they could probably fix it for you and it would only cost parts and whatever they charge. Its not too expensive to get fixed though.
