Hi, I want to keep yahoo messenger on my partners user account but i dont want it on mine. It drives me crazy always opening up everytime i start my comp.

Open Yahoo! Messenger main window than select "messenger" from the top menu then click "connection preferences" then select "General" on the left side and turn off automatic running of Yahoo! messenger.

It is very easy to stop Yahoo messenger from starting when you turn on your computer. At the top of YM click on Messenger and then Preferences. On the General tab, uncheck the box that says, when I turn on my computer start Yahoo messenger. Now click OK.
