How do you write a musical?

I'm writting a musical for a school project and would like to know if anyone knows a site that gives tips for it, or has tips for it themselves. I've never written a play or a musical before, but have written several novel-format stories.

Update:

I've alread got the basic plot written up - it's just a matter of transforming it into dialogue format and writing the music and lyrics.

First you have to turn the dialogue into poetry and the poetry into lyrics and then you need to learn how to write music to go under those lyrics and no they do not have a site for that but you you can always talk to a band teacher and maybe he/she could hook you up with someone who can fix up a melody for you. But, it would have been a whole lot easier if you had started off with songs you knew and wrote the story around them to begin with.

Write it out before you start recording( obvious) remember the lines.
