Opinions please? I am thinking of getting a microwave/combi oven for use in our caravan?
Really just looking for people who have them to give me their opinion on how good/bad/indifferent they are. The idea of one seems very good, but never having had one I'm unsure about them.

Is it a touring caravan? Great if you have power hook up, go for it.
If you're camping without hook up you'll need to get a 1000 watts inverter (about £50) you'll then be able to run it off the van or car battery.

The combi oven is a good tool for the kitchen. Been using one since the eighties. If you can get to grips with the combi cooking you can save a good deal of time. This from a philistine who told his missus that they were a wast of time. Silly me.

Great, couldn't live without one. Messy when u microwave though and dont cover, and then when you go to cook something everything smells of what you've microwaved earlier unless u clean it.

A really useful bit of kit, especially if you have children.
They are so cheap to buy now less than £40 at Tesco etc; it doesn't matter if it only lasts one season!

I had one a few years ago and it was brilliant for myself and two young boys.Even cooked xmas dinner in it!
Once you get the hang of it you`ll find it invaluable.
