I just bought an ipod 30gb video...?

I have an older ipod 20gb not video and itunes 7 when I try to connect the new ipod, itunes won't recognize it. The ipod just says do not disconnect. What do I do??

    well i just had this problem about a week ago. all i did was create a new user account for the computer. connect your ipod. only thing is you dont have your songs because its a new account, but i think you can scan the hard drive to get the music on it

    Do you have an Apple computer, and if so, is your OS at 10.3.9 or higher? If not, this may be the issue. You might want to check out Apple's web site.

    try resetin the ipod manually...pressin the menu n middle button at the same time while connected to your computer..hopefully it works

    make a new user file on your computer and then try it
