RSS & Action Bar?
I was told to extend a deadline for answers by using the Action Bar. There none of the buttons seem to me to be used for such purpose. What is RSS anyway?

When you ask a question, when you view it, you should get a bar of 5 icons across the bottom of the question
Stars
Report Abuse (greyed out)
Email to a Friend
Add/Save Question (for answerers)
Question Admin (only appears for the asker of that particular question)
In question admin you have options to:
Add Details
Extend Deadline
Delete Question
Email New Answers
Extend Deadline is removed from the options once you use it once, and it extends the deadline to 7 days from asking the initial question.

RSS is a method to feed a number of sites updates.
Say, for example, you have a number of sites and want to display up to date football scores on them all. Instead of updating each site manually, you can set the sites up so that they all get automatically updated from a single source.
So in my example, each time a match was played the admin could add the score in to the main site, and all other sites would be updated automatically to reflect the changes.
