can i claim money back from Virgin TV ?

when i signed up, they made a big deal of having sky one, two, sports etc. Now they are not on my package, do i have the right to claim some money back as the service i signed up to has been reduced but my monthly fee has not.

They will end up getting sky 1 and news etc back on if the public phone up and demand it.

But most people will sit there, moan and do nothing but exercise the jaw muscles!

Write, email or call them and demand the service is reinstated. Don't be put off by them saying we are introducing more choice - stop them in their tracks and say its not right that sky has been taken out without my consent!

If you put words into action we may get somewhere!

I am not sure that its Virgins fault and they have the right to change where they see fit but if you outside your first year you could cancel.

I would see what happens as i think that Vigin want to get the channels back but they are not prepared to pay double for it so i would say that its sky being greedy and if everyone leaves then we would be saying that its ok for sky to charge what they like and long term we would just be helping sky to make silly money and make it so that sky are the only Tv company

i'm in the same boat - i loved having sky 1 for programmes such as 24. Since it was a direct take over deal, i would have thought we can't claim money back -

Vigin has taken on sky as direct competiton and they would have expected consumers to complain... im sure they have covered themselves somehow... they wouldn't have spent multi millions of pounds on the deal if such upsets could occur.

Its worth a try, lots of people feel the same way

Try phoning customer services and say you're thinking of leaving Virgin because they haven't kept to their contract

It's the top story on digitalspy.co.uk - if you're in a contract you can break it early with no penalty.

I doubt very much that you would win that case. But, it`s worth a try I suppose.
