Has anyone else involved in the Dell Vista Upgade Mess?
I have been trying to get my new Dell upgraded from Windows XP to Vista for months. I went to the web site months ago. Today they sent me a email on 3/05 saying it will ship in late Feb. (da ) Then it will take 4 -6 weeks to ship a cd? I think Dell will not hire enough people to take care of this or will not spend the money. Their last quarters stock was a big loss. whats your opinion? I asked for a $100 refund.

Get the refund, go to windows upgrade and you can find the download there...You may even be able to go to Dell homepage, and get it there, but you will still need to pay for it, assuming you are preset for vista upgrade.

The last time that I had trouble with Dell and I asked for compensation, they gave me $100 in credit. They will usually give you something for your time....as for the Vista upgrade stuff....Good Luck. I'd rather keep XP.
