Does anyone have Lyme disease?? Doctors & patients please help!!?
My husbands is a sufferer of chronic pain in many forms! About 1 1/2 years ago his doctor tested his blood, of course it came back positive with Lyme titer. She has done no further treatment. I brought it up and she says she has to do a spinal tap which made my hubby nervous. so now she is not pushing the issue. I am sick of it...he has unexplained back pain, irregular heartbeat, shooting stabbing pains in arms and legs, fractioned sleep, night sweating...and so much more. What do I have to do to get him treated for the Lyme disease and so many of the associated illnesses?? I can't stand to see him in pain....he is 31 and feels so crappy all of the time.

The usual treatment is doxycycline for 3 weeks.
I had Lyme for 5 1/2 years & went to 5 doctors, including 2 specialists. I had doxycycline prescribed for up to 8 weeks at a time & that still didn't kill it.
I finally went to a naturopathic doctor & I've had amazing results with a couple herbal remedies called artemisinin & andrographis. I've been taking them for a year now & I'm a new person.
Lyme goes into a dormant stage where it can't be killed so right now I'm on between 1000mg & 3000mg of andrographis a day to make sure that the Lyme is dead.

I am surprised that the doctor isn't taking this very seriously. Lyme disease in its late stages is irreversible and very damaging. You should take action right away if you're certain this is Lyme Disease. The article I've attached below if from Wikipedia and states everything you want to know about Lyme Disease. Your husband might be in the late stages already. It also includes near the bottom a *diagnosis* section on how to best get diagnosed. Many people misdiagnose the symptoms of Lyme Disease! Please see the article and act quickly, meningitis (reason for most spinal taps) can be caused by Lyme Disease also.

Take him to another doctor!!! Obvioulsy the one he seen before was a moron, if he is having that much pain and so sick you really just need to maybe take him to the ER it sounds pretty serious what he is going through.. Best of luck and I will pray for you!
