You are given two solid materials, one that is organic and one that is not organic. Describe three tests you could perform to help you decide which is which.

    these are the tests I would do,

    1. Measure the melting and boiling point of the materials. Organic material will have lower melting and boiling points.

    2. Next is the solubility test. Organic compound will be soluble in organic liquids and inorganic materials will be soluble in polar liquids.

    1) measure the melting an boiling point, organic has a low boiling and melting point

    2)Test which one has the strongest odor, organic mateirals have a strong odor

    3) see if the material conducts electric current, if it does not conduct current it is organic because organic doesn't conduct any electric current
