Is using PayPal safe?
I am thinking of using PayPal for eBay but I don't have a debit card. I have a credit card, but I think it's too risky to use that. Looking at past answers, people use debit cards. Should I use my credit card or just open a debit card account? Is using PayPal really safe?

PayPal states they are a safe and secure site. I have never had any problems with them. The good thing about your credit card is that is protected for theft and PayPal also has a policy on this.
But to be safe just open a Debit account with one of those Debit Card companies. You can control how much is in the account and you can sometimes transfer funds into the account from you traditional bank.

It's safe. The only thing you gotta watch out for is fake PayPal emails that ask you for personal information. PayPal never ever ever asks you for that...

If your small time then its ok, But i've heard of a lot of people, who made a Bussiness out of eBay, and made thousands and thousands, then Paypal started to question them, and freeze the assets, and then eneded up cancelling their account, b/c of credit reasons, ea; not a good credit score, but oddly enough they always used the same excuse on the people who made a serious livlihood out of eBay, and made very good money. They don't bother people who are just making some money here and there. Ths guy i know has 14 thousand dollars frozen in his paypal account till they can 'verify' things. Very shady.

Paypal really is safe. They also have a great reputation, and is now owned by eBay. I have a paypal account, and when it comes to paying someone over the internet, its so much better just to use them and not have the hastle of giving out my cc info over and over.

It's very safe. The people you pay never see your credit card or debit card info. I've used Paypal for 7 years and have been very happy with them.

Many of my family members have had many complaints about using PayPal for stuff online. You have the be super careful on everything you press too. It's kinda complicated, one time my Dad payed a bill online and he doubled clicked on something [not sure, sorry.!] and he ended up paying a payment TWICE. So yeah, you might wanna find something else to use.
good luck! :]

Yes. It's considered to be the safest on the internet. I use it to buy and sell. If there's ever a problem with monetary transfer, they will fix it in seconds.

I used it for more than a year now and nothing bad happened yet, thanks to God.
So, I'd say it's pretty safe.

Yes. They take considerable pains to make certain that it is hack-proof.
