Why do the french always have to have cheese with salad or their food?

im supposed to find out why for my french class but no websites is giving me any ideas so help from you guys would really help..thanx!!

AND CAN U BELIEVE THE YAHOO ANSWERS TEAM WANTED TO PUT THIS IN SINGLES AND DATING LOL

    Cheese is there national food (beside wine) thus they mixed with almost their food even in Salad
