Any information about Febreez?

I can't figure out how this actually works, what is in it. It reminds me a bit of the scent of clothes after being in the dry cleaners.

I use it on my area rugs after vacuuming (cannot be washed and I dryclean only).

Does anyone understand the science, if there is any, behind this product? Thanks.

Update:

P.S. The rugs are clean, they just smell ruggy.

It's only scented water....read the ingredients. There are no cleaning agents whatsoever.
