That's a amazing question, have you ever notice how people love to down people who smoke, but would not dare touch the subject of drinking. Why, because they love their beer, wine, whiskey and whatever. Me I don't do either but my husband loves his cigars. And if I was driving down the road I had much rather pass someone with a cigar in their hand the a bottle or can of beer, whiskey or wine

It is not a sin to smoke, whether you are a Christian or not a Christian. What it is, however, is a danger to your health, and when you view the consequences from it, it is just NOT worth it. You don't have to smoke to look "cool" to your friends, so why start a bad habit like this.???
It costs money to smoke, both in the price of cigars, and the medical problems that lay ahead for you, if you do smoke. Get wise, and don't smoke any kind of tobacco. Your future spouse, will thank you for not smoking.
Smoking causes Cancer, and you know where that will lead you. Do you want to die early.???

My pastor smoke cigars...
So..here is a religious answer...the body is the temple of God...supposedly....anything you do to your body, you do to God. A zealot would tell you it is wrong therefore along with the surgeon general.
And who knows...God just might like to smoke a cigar every now and then

As a Christian, you are supposed to emulate Christ in every way. So you just have to ask yourself, would Jesus smoke cigars?
The Bible clearly says:
"All things are lawful for me," but not all things are HELPFUL. "All things are lawful for me," but I WILL NOT BE ENSLAVED by anything." (1 Corinthians 6:12 RSV)
"They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for whatever overcomes a man, to that he is ENSLAVED." (2 Peter 2:19 RSV)
Perhaps not...
BUT on the other hand, in Genesis it says:
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. -- Genesis 1:29
...which seems to imply that if tobacco tastes good when you smoke it, it is only because your Lord made it that way!

I don't see anything in the Bible forbidding smoking to be honest. How many Christians do you see getting on people for eating junk food (though it is bad for you)?
I say, given that, what's the difference?

I don't know any verse that says if you smoke you will be damned... Is it proper? If you would feel comfortable doing it in the presence of the Lord when don't worry about it... Jim

No it's nasty. It's ok to smoke them in the men's public restroom if you gargle with Listerine after wards while you are still in there.
