What would be a good HAM radio setup for someone who just got their license in the Rockford IL, area?
I just passed my technician class exam, and I'm just looking for a cheap and easy setup, that I can hopefully take with me when I do some traveling around the country.

Please don't say Amazing Grace, I know that one already. I'm looking for a song that has a good blues sound to it.

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoIf Buddha is fully enlightened, then how come he still gets reincarnated?
I could had sworn that the buddhist teaching is that once you reach full enlightenment you don't get reincarnated anymore.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor Christians that believe in Free Will?
I would really like to know where you get this idea of free will from. It is quite obvious through reading scrpiture that we are either slaves to sin or servants of God. it is also clear that He planned everything, from the sin of Adam and Eve, Christ death on the cross, and even events yet to come. He is all knowing and all powerful. It just really seems to me that even to suggest that we have free will is to suggest that we can change God's plans, and that really just doesn't seem right to me.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is a good game that is similar to WoW and/or Guild Wars that doesn't require one to be on line?
I'm asking this because I'm a soldier and I might be getting deployed sooner or later, so I kinda need something to do in my down time, and chances are internet connections is gonna be hard to come by on a regular basis, and then not for gaming.

16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is it that whenever someone says they have found "contradictions" in Bible, its usually because they read
it with the pressuposition that there are contradicitons in it and almost always take the verses out of context?
31 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn Illinois does a store need a sign posted if they have a "no refund" policy?
I bought some thing at a store in the mall, and when I got home a friend of mine said that I could had gotten it cheaper online, and well, he was right. I was about to go back to the store and return the item, but before I left I noticed on the receipt that it said, "No refund, exchange only within 15 days of purchase." This was the first time of me hearing about the stores return policy, and I don't recall seeing a sign posted in the store about the "no refund" policy.
