What is a good game that is similar to WoW and/or Guild Wars that doesn't require one to be on line?
I'm asking this because I'm a soldier and I might be getting deployed sooner or later, so I kinda need something to do in my down time, and chances are internet connections is gonna be hard to come by on a regular basis, and then not for gaming.

There are no games like WoW that doesn't require an internet connection. But I would like to recommend either of the Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind or Oblivion). Neither let you interact with other players, but it has the same concept. (Finishing quests, leveling, looting, fighting, etc.)
Honestly I think Oblivion and Morrowind blow WoW out of the water, but WoW is so unique in the fact that you CAN interact with other players and share quests that they can't really be compared.

Even an old game like diablo or something is fun though

there are none
wow and GW are mmorpgs
the only way for it to be an mmo is for there to be a present internet connection
