I am sorry for your loss. Always make sure that you don't burn scented candles in your home. TEFLON fumes can also kill our birds.

Unfortunately, the only way to tell why she died would be to have a necropsy done on her. It is too late now to do so. You would have to refrigerate her body and take it to a vet within 24 hours. They cannot find anything out after that.

Budgies have been inbred for so long that they are predisposed to having tumors. This could also have been what was.

If you are going to get another bird, I would first clean the cage and food dishes with a bleach soloution, just in case she had something that was contagious. Then I would find a local breeder with a good reputation and get a bird from there.

Sorry yet extra importantly why did the budgie die so youthful? you could discover out what killed it in case the different budgies have a similar situation and die to boot. you need to take the physique to an avian vet and suss out what could have occurred. What replaced into it eating? ought to it have ingested mammal saliva that's poisonous to birds? Do you utilize Teflon lined cookware, the fumes Of which kill birds. Did it have some type of an infection? What did its cere appear like? you could ask those inquiries to be certain why it died and forestall your different birds from dying to boot. stable success and sorry on your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss but be assure she has crossed the rainbow bridge and is in the happiest place that god ever created- watching you from above and running free. I wouldn't worry too much if you got her from the pet store there really is no way of knowing truly how old she is or if she had been predisposed to any health conditions. Just love the one you have and maybe take it to the vet to make sure he gets a clean bill of health.

This happened to me long ago-40 years but it still saddens me. I had a beautiful blue and white baby budgie, hand raised, that I hadn't even named yet die suddenly. I had painted the cage with a lead based paint that apparently she chewed on, ingested and was poisoned by. It made me sick to think of what I had done. I was 11, I should of asked an adult if that paint was ok to use.
