Hmm.. I don't know if I would use the term "narcissism", per se.

Narcissism is basically a love or lust for one's self, and I think your essay is basically asking about self-centeredness and selfish behavior.

It depends on which side you are supporting, but I would look through recent past events and find successful methods and ones that didn't work. Try to figure out why. Focus on the economy, the government, and society in general. How have things changed over the past one-hundred years? Have certain things become more socially acceptable? What is causing problems with our modern government and economy?

Narcissism....Do you have it, and if you did would you have the courage to admit it? It would be a BIG step. Look at all the trouble its caused (site Mythology and the trouble with Neprodite and, as long as you can give historical backup, throw Nero and Julius Cesear in for good measure). Go semi-full circle, and bring the reader back to present day. I think it would make for a good read. Good luck to ya!
