Humanitarian? Who really qualifies for the title?

Reason I ask, I usually want to use this word to describe myself but often feel like I am not worthy. What traits or deeds do you think one must possess to use the word in self-description?

I feel the same exact way that you do. You probably feel really deeply for people and wish that you could be a saint at all times, and never let ego get in the way of your decisions. It's hard to accept this but we are all just humans and saints are 1 in a century Buddah, Jesus, Mother Teresa, and Ghandi are to name a few, yet I bet even they wished they could be more humanist because as much as we want to be we can't be perfect.

this is what helps me out

"forgive them father for they know not what they do"

Source(s): Hey its me you answered my question (we are both depressed, so it makes it hard not to mess up. I think both me and my other suffer from manic depression and A.D.D, Im actually getting it checked out today, what a world huh?)

Those who consider humanity reasons in giving considerations of action against anybody who committed such offense.
