I recently purchased a new Sony Vaio VGN-N230E and it is running on Windows Vista Premium. I want to buy some good video editing software and dont know what is the best. I dont need an ultra professional version, but something that would allow me to cut up video and rearange it, some stop motion, and also be able to easily add music tracks or just specific parts of a song would be great.
One thing i really want is easy to use software. I dont want to have to invest months just to learn the basics, but i also dont mind reading manuals to learn what i need.
Please help. Please give the name of the software and what it does and the cost.

I don't know about vista compatibility but the best video editor that I have tried is available at www.videoredo.com. They have a downloadable trial to determine if it likes vista.
